Orthographic correction to eliminate spelling and punctuation errors, and to unify typographic criteria (italics, bold, etc.). In composed texts, detect and correct widow and orphan lines, incorrect word partitions, formatting mistakes, inappropriate white spaces or page numbering errors.
Style correction to eliminate grammatical and syntax mistakes (concordance, coherence in tenses, etc.); correct vocabulary errors; increase lexical richness; improve text fluency (through the use of connectors, subordinates, etc.); and make the text sound appropriate to the reader it is intended for.
